Wonderment, wanderlust, GRATITUDE and a GIVEAWAY!!

here I am on the cusp of fifty, grateful for it all
for the hard yards that made me who I am today
for the times I struggled and the times I felt lost
for the love I have received and the love I am privileged to give
for the breath in my lungs, the sparkle in my eye
for the trillions of cells and the divine force that keeps my body healthy
for the gift of trust and faith
and curiosity and wonder
for the splendor of nature and the ability
to see, feel, hear and touch it
for my students who teach me in every moment
what it is to be human
and how we are all reflections of each other
for the gift of kindness and compassion
in the recognition of our similarities and our differences.
for the preciousness of my family who make my heart overflow
with love
and for all of you out there
who have supported and cheered me on
these past five years
as I have worked to build a dream.
so much love to all....❤️

I'm about to turn 50 as well. I'm kind of freaking out about it. I am concentrating on all of the good in my life. My hubby - he and I are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary a few months after I turn 50. My daughter - she and I are closer than ever even though she is busy building and living her adult life. My friends - they help me laugh even when I don't feel like it. My family - I am grateful for all of the wonderful relationships. I need to hang on to what's important, are all of the people I still get to spend time with because I'm turning 50.

The 50's was a great decade for me. I discovered the magic of art. I hope to continue to do more and get away from free the expectations that it must look like something real or structured. I'm grateful to be learning about myself through intuitive painting. And stretching to hear more from inside myself.

I am grateful: I practicing being grateful as often as I can: I am grateful the little things that add up to the bigger! I am grateful in knowing all the beauty around me unspoken and dormant is quietly speaking through the changing seasons in color, intensity and beauty. I appreciate the gift of life, the fragile edges, the deep ravens the shallow tide pools. I love being a mixed media artist and the ability to work with my hands, heart and soul. In the fuller expression of life I love being a poet, doer & thinker. I love many mediums of art.
Thankful for family, boyfriend and the ability to have each day as gift.

lost and found! i can relate to that, however, I am grateful for making it through the fire. it's been 3 years since i left my 'safety net' and jumped into the fire. i was married 18 years and 'he' was all i knew. we have 3 children and he asjed for a divorced. guess what? i jumped and i survived! it's ironic because just today a bracelet arrived that I had ordered. The bracelet says 'she believed she could so she did'. I sure did! I made it through the fire. I left and it was one of the most difficult things I have ever done in my 41 years here on earth. I am grateful I made it through the 'fire'. I am more brave and stronger than I ever thought I was. I stand here today with my head held high because so many people thought I was going to fail! Thank you for the chance Tracy! Here's to celebrating life! - tonya

30 yrs ago, I dated a beautiful young guy who was everything to me but I dumped him giving in to pressure from an ex to get back together. I was a cop and the guy I let go was in University. After some time, I left the Police Dept and became a Border Services Officer instead. The guy I left, became a cop. We each married and had children and I regretted breaking up with him more than anything in my life ~ he was the one "I let get away". Fast forward to 2012, both of our marriages were over and we met up again after having no contact all these years! Last year, in 2014, we married!!!! I am thankful to God EVERY DAY for all of my blessings, but I am especially thankful to Him, for giving me back ~ the love of my life!!!!! Happy 50th to you! (which happens to fall on my 24yr old sons birthday of July 22 ;) Grateful to you Tracy, for this wonderful opportunity to win a spot in your AMAZING class!!!! YAYa!!!!!!! ouekaren@yahoo.ca
